Installing door hingesAfter taking the doors out of the clamps and sanding away any glue squeeze-out that my wet rag and I missed yesterday, we set up to route the decorative edge around the outside edges of the door.  A little more sanding and we're ready to install door hinges.  We decide on a uniform location, lay out where the screw holes need to be, drill the pilot holes and install the screws.

Hanging the doorsAfter tipping the cabinet back and clamping it lightly to something solid so it doesn't fall forward while I'm working, I clamp battens to the cabinet apron for the doors to sit on.  I adjust the batten until the gap between the top of the door and the bottom of the drawer front is even and the door is centered vertically on it's opening.  Then I slide the door side to side to center it horizontally, and mark the hinge screw locations.  Pilot holes and screws complete the hanging of the doors.  I used snap closing hinges, so no catches are required.

Construction completeAll we have left to build is the baffle that will go below the flap door to insure that trash goes in the trash can, but that will take only a few minutes.  This completes the construction of the cabinet.
