I found this particular flag case made by Diablo Woodworking Club on their internet site while searching for a custom made flag case last year.  They were no longer making this type of flag case when I found them so I turned to Smoky Mountain Woodworks.  I wanted one that wasn't mass produced and cheap looking. I wanted one that was hand crafted and I knew if anyone could do the job, Doug was the one to do it.  Luckily for me, Diablo put up an instruction diagram on how to build one.  The cases are large enough to accommodate a 5X8 flag which is the standard for draping over a casket in a funeral service.  If you have a need for a quality hand made flag case, Smoky Mountain Woodworks is the place to find one.  I just recently bought a second one from Doug.

The incredible beauty of the bench takes our breath away.  It is so exciting to watch the tenderness, thought and care you put into each move you make.  How different this is than buying a finished piece (and always wondering about the level of quality that went into construction) or worse yet - buying a piece made of particle board and having to put it together with no skills whatsoever.
It is so difficult to fathom the care you put into each piece you make for people you have never even met before.
I always believe that those who are happiest in life are those who have found and followed God's calling for them. God gave you such a unique gift, and you use it to His glory for each person fortunate enough to find you.  I am glad that we are among those so blessed!

It is absolutely beautiful!! Though I am embarrassed to say that I didn't buy a box spring - just a mattress since that is how my last one was....  so no pictures are coming your way until I get the box spring and have it all beautifully (comfortably for our dogs) together!!

Yes! The tray tables arrived safe and sound, and they are beautiful.  I did not want to take them out of their wrapping since I have to transport them to my folks, but they look lovely.  The color is a little lighter than I expected, but I remember you telling me that cherry in its natural state is lighter than one finds in a furniture store and that it darkens with age. We are literally turning people away, because we just can not accommodate them all.  I must say, the change trays have been nothing short of a show stopper! I kid you not.  Several (more than several) people have commented on the beauty and craftsmanship of these lovely small trays.  They even go so far as joking about stealing them.  I laugh, but I fear they are not only joking and find myself counting them often.  Some ladies have even gone so far as to suggest that we sell them. Curious, I ask them, if we were to sell them, what they would use them for?
