Jeff and Linda W. needed a bed that would be the ONLY piece of furniture in their vacation condo's bedroom, it had to do it ALL.  Jeff provided drawings, we tweaked them and this Monster Bed was the result.

The photo used here is of the bed being installed in Jeff & Linda's bedroom (a snug fit) just before the mattress decking was installed.  Construction of this bed took 3 months.

• All visible wood is solid Appalachian Cherry.
• Hidden structural lumber is Poplar.
• Drawer boxes are Silver Maple with cabinet grade Birch plywood bottoms.
• Mattress decking is 1/2" AC construction plywood.
• Headboard includes bookcase section.
• Doors on both sides of headboard to access storage within.
• Doors in center of footboard to access storage in tunnel between drawer frames.
• Drawers are equipped with 24" full extension Accuride roller bearing drawer slides.
• Drawers use Antique Brass bail pulls with round backers and a 3" bore.
• All doors are equipped with magnetic touch latches so pulls are not required.
• Large vertical panels in headboard and foot board are built using frame & panel construction.
• The bed is finished with Semi-Gloss Lacquer.
