Originally designed for Ernie M. of Pembroke Pines, Florida, who was looking for "an end to my leaning tower of CDs, always in fear of a digital avalanche."  He liked the look of our Apothecary Tea Chest and asked if we could build a similar chest large enough to store his CD collection.  This piece is the result and the first of many CD storage chests and cabinets we've built.

As shown the CD chest measures 21½" wide, 12" deep, 15" high and is built of natural finished red oak (except the drawer boxes which are Poplar) and holds 144 CDs.  But we can make one for you of most any wood and finish that you prefer so it fits into your home.  You may also select either a 3/4" brass knob or a library pull (accepts a card for labeling the drawers contents) instead of the wooden knobs if you prefer.  Several larger CD cabinets are also available in the Cabinets section.

We are happy to custom design a chest to suit your needs.  This one only wanted to have the drawers inset rather than the partial overlay we generally use for a "cleaner more contemporary" look.  But if you need a different size or shape, talk to us and we'll work up a design just for you.
