David wants a computer desk that is not a massive, imposing cabinet that will dominate a room. This desk will serve as residence for a notebook computer used by three boys, each needs their own "space" inside the desk to keep their own stuff. The cabinet will use a drop front design, and will be fairly tall, with thin legs. A bar stool type chair will be built later.
David provided us with a photograph of a similar desk from a magazine, specified the changes he wanted made and we took it from there.
This area of the web site is devoted to allowing you to check out one of the more interesting projects that we've built. Maybe the one you're considering buying.
Because this article is a long one with many pictures, I've broken it up into segments so that those who are following along as I write the article may go directly to the latest episode and not have to wait for all the pictures ahead of it to load.
Below is a listing of the segments. Each segment is linked to the next and previous segments so you don't have to keep returning here, just click [Next] when you get to the end of a segment, like turning the pages in a book.
If you are interested in having a desk like this one made for you, surf on over to the Portfolio Posting for this piece and check it out.
